Ok, so phone is working now, I was going a little paranoid the other day perhaps. Although i also didn't go through the correct procedure for getting the phone, so I have learned my lesson. That being, get the serial number first and call and check with the company that it's usable before ever exchanging money.

so I don't know if most everyone heard, but my phone got flushed at school on april fools day...yay joke on me from the world. Well set about getting a replacement, decided on getting one from a chick on craigslist because well its the phone I want and is less than half as much as it would be in the store. She said the account had been disconnected because they decided to go with someone else and she had called last week and had the phone deactivated. Well..I went to the store friday after waiting around almost 2 hours for her to finally show up to be told it was still showing as active on her account, emailed her again she said she would go to the store yesterday..haven't heard back. So I called the cricket customer support today and was told that not only was the phone still active but they had no record of her calling last week and her account wasn't disconnected but suspended temporarily because of not paying for it (which confuses me because cricket is pay as you go, meaning you pay for the following month so there being a leftover balance of around 80 [what cricket cs said] makes absolutely no sense) So I have emailed her yet again and we'll see if I get a response, if not then I guess i'll be getting a cheap phone from somewhere, make sure to get the serial number before buying and call cricket to make sure it's been deactivated, because worst case scenario I can't use this phone for 3 months (which is a different story than I got at the store)

So there are a couple things going on, not necessarily good but happening none the less.

I think my brother may have gotten me sick, i realized I've been going back and forth with a fever for almost a week which I hadn't really focused on so I hadn't realized I was probably already sick until I crashed last night with the headache and the high fever etc...not the best night.

On a more positive note I have a swimsuit so I'm going to try and start using the pool up on campus. I did decide this morning to quit weighing myself since it's a somewhat meaningless number, just going to go by my measurements. Oh, and a question for those healthy people, I've been doing the whole food journal on a site called thedailyplate.com and I'm confused about the calories, isn't the idea to only eat as many calories as you're actually using in the day? To break even basically?

I will also be trying to make/sell coffee cups (to begin with) this semester, later when I have more space for equipment/supplies/bisqueware I plan on doing much more, hopefully doing some shows (lazy dayz and such) for some kind of income while I'm in school. I am also trying to get in to substitute teach over the summer, just waiting on my references (they have to fill out a form and seal them before I turn in the application).

So as most people have heard I've been racked with evil migraines a lot recently. Today not being much better, which is quite annoying as my head has now destroyed about half the plans I had made for spring break..yay break.. Anyways, just called the doctor to see if maybe there's something stronger they can prescribe and of course there isn't. She suggests exercise as well as yoga specifically, the idea being maybe I just need to relax. So, I'm going to pull up some information and see what I can start doing today, if anyone has tips I would love the help. Hopefully once I'm working again I can actually get into a gym and class, or possibly get into the yoga class up at school in the fall, granted its "sunrise yoga" which means I'm going to be up there either right before or after I drop off my little brother for the bus.

Speaking of my little brother, Carl has the cousin virus of mono so he's been home for almost 2 weeks now..or is it three, its been awhile.

I've been thinking a lot lately (being the last couple months) and I think I know why I don't really have playmates. I generally have the available options, but just don't pursue them. I think it's because I may be more attracted to women. The only problem is I'm not really sure what to do with them, and it's difficult to broach the topic of "i like you...want to do fun things..don't know how to do those things.."...perhaps if I can find a Domme I'm attracted to.

I actually went out last night, It was quite fun until my migraine decided to make a reappearance. I may actually see about playing a couple of times while I'm on break, it's been a really long time since I've done anything but crew at Rocky...maybe I'll even learn a new part or two.

We got a lot when we went shopping yesterday, one thing I'm particularly excited about is the heat knife, it works great to cut through thin plastic...and sear my flesh...but I usually only burn myself with an item once! Working on making some jewelry stuffs with it...

Next week is my last week for this semester!!!

So my life was taken over by school for quite awhile, and now I'm trying to get back up with people, but specifically today I was thinking about the holidays and how I always end up broke, which this year I can't do because I haven't been working so I had a couple ideas and I wanted to see who all would be interested.

1. Craft swap, basically everyone brings a pile o' crafty things they've made, knitted stuff, jewelry, misc crafty things etc, and swaps, that way you haven't really put a lot of cash into presents and you're not giving everyone the same thing.
2. Baking Boxes, everyone brings a box of some sort, we line and decorate them and bake stuff, cookies, candies, that type of thing, possibly everyone is responsible for bringing one ingredient, or whatever they have in their pantry, could post a list of what ingredients are needed, I know i have a ton of stuff at my house, and then everyone goes home with a box of baked goods which you can have out when people come over, or give to someone, etc.
3. Card making day, it was pointed out to me that not everyone is crafty, so I thought of having a day at someones house, possibly mine if it's clean, though I don't have much parking, I'll have a big book of ideas and again if people have misc supplies bring them, if not, Ill bring everything I can find here and everyone can make cards.

So it is the end of another week of classes, luckily I only have them four days out of the week or I might lose my mind a tad more than I already am. I did get my sculpture finished, a grand total of an hour before our critique, and its still not exactly what I wanted (will post pictures soon).

I started working on the wheel in my ceramics class on Tuesday...which is the most wonderful toy ever. I lust for a wheel at home, but unfortunatly have looked and its far out of my price range...craigslist stalking I shall be doing. Oh! my first wonderfully loved ceramics project came out of the kiln today! (will also insert pictures soon) so excited about the wonderful projects. I really wish I could just take studio classes again next semester, but i really do need to fit some of my education classes in there some where. These are so much more fun!

I went to DC with the art department this past friday, I don't think I posted about it, I think the last thing I posted about was the exercise stuff BUT went there for the whole day, got to wander around a bit by myself and found a few sculpture gardens. Also went to the Smithsonian Museum of American Art, saw a painting I can't identify but have for some reason fallen in love with

So my weight is something I keep coming back to, though my worries are being defined as obsessive.

I would like to get back down to a size 5. Right now I wear an 11/12 which means I need to lose approximately 35 lbs which would bring me to 137, a decent weight, one that would probably make my doctor happy.

The problem that I'm having is stamina, I started doing short workouts at the beginning of the month (downloaded the 10-minute trainer videos) and they do offer a decent workout, however I'm so sore the next morning I can't exercise again. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or any diet/workout plans that work well when starting out.

I do know I have horrible eating habits, I'm just not sure how to fix that, I like food.

i have just heard something rather amusing while watching last comic standing, which by the way is much better than expected. The comedian brought up having seen of someone burning a US flag in Iraq, and he thinks thats quite horrible of course, but..he thought. And the only producer of American flags is America, so every time they want to burn your flag...they have to buy it.

ughl
So I have a virus, which pretty much means I will feel like crap for an indefinite amount of time until my body decides to stop sucking. Also have recurrent migraines but they gave me medicine for that.

On the bright side though, I got the braces off on Thursday no more metal for me! It's quite nice to actually have a face again. I also discovered the one slightly productive thing I can do when I have a migraine and the meds haven't worked, trade-skilling..which is probably horrible in itself but there's not much I can do when I'm doing the hot/cold thing and stay so exhausted I don't want to move.

We just did an exercise in psychology, and a few of them were figuring out phrases, I just liked it. See if you can figure them out:

1. refrain from enumerating your infantile poultry before the proper process of incubation has been completed.

2. Cautiously survey the perspective prior to going forward precipitously.

3. One of the impossibilities of life is derived from the foolish instruction of novel ruses to an ancient, carnivorous domesticated mammal.

why
Why isn't it ok for me to not have any expectations for my life. I know I'm not skilled in anything, and as my brain is swiss chess it makes advancing any kind of knowledge a little difficult. I'm remotely good at art and so thats my major, I don't know if I even like kids and I'm doing art education. I don't even want to be in school but I'm expected to go and to excel. Why can't I just exist?

So with finals and the wedding it's been awhile since I've thought to post anything here.

My grades turned out alright, I'm a bit unhappy with one of my grades (got a C in my Foundations of American Education class) but that's probably due to the group project as I was 1.5 points shy of a B. I got a C in my biology but for me thats fantastic as I definitely failed Bio a couple times at Wake Tech.

The wedding, well it was an interesting experience. Everything really started on Thursday and continued until early Sunday morning.

On Thursday we had Sara's bachlorette party, which I must say was fun, though I feel like we could have done something a bit more exciting. Since Sara is pregnant she couldn't really drink and it was just me, my Mom, Sara's sister Amy and our friend Ramona. Sara spent most of the night getting her hair done for the wedding (trim, dye, highlights) but she did enjoy herself.

On Friday we got up early and went to this Nail Salon out in Garner. This was a new experience for me, I went to a place in Crossroads once with Alice and Paul but I was less than impressed, and I have to say it may be worth the drive to go to the one in Garner. It feels a little odd though we even got toenails done which is something I've never had. My toes look funny to me now (my brother ran away going "agh! girly toes!") but I like it.

Later that day we did the rehearsal for the wedding and then had dinner up at Tony's I definatly crashed early though, Sara Justin and the groomsmen went to Hot Shots for awhile after dinner.

Then Saturday was the wedding. It started with taking Sara to durham (i think) to get her makeup done, then to the hotel where we did hair and got dressed. As it got closer to the wedding time things started getting more hectic. Sara's mother was supervising setup for the reception as they started doing it entirely backwards, one layer of the wedding cake had icing sloughing off the side, and the florist was late. The big issue though was the DJ, something happened with the dj company and there was a lot of confusion, as well as 3-4 different stories. First they said the DJ that was under contract had been trying to get a hold of Sara and hadn't been able to so he assumed that the wedding had been canceled, then they said the DJ was on the way, then someone showed up (an hour late, wedding was supposed to be at 4, this was at 5)and said that a bike had fallen off a truck onto them and they had to wait for someone to come. Then we finally got up there, the DJ finally set up and we started in, and they played the wrong song (Sara at this point is starting to lose it) but we kept on. Then at the end, they didn't play anything when we went out. To top it all of he asked Sara what songs she wanted at the reception (had already been laid out with the other guy) said he was going to go find a pen and paper, went downstairs and left.

We ended up hooking up a laptop to the speakers an downloading songs for the reception. When someone finally got a hold of the main company (many many people called) he said that things like that sometimes happen with his employs. Suffice to say there is going to be a lawsuit over breach of contract.

Oh yeah, and they put me in a fluffy dress.

So just to stick in, this is the cutest thing ever:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkS7J-LsYsA&feature=user

I'm trying to lose weight/get in better shape. I will be doing the gym as soon as Alice gets back though. I have found out somethng rather scary, Alice gave me a site that helps track your calories, and on a regular basis I go way over what I should be eating, I'm not sure how I'm not gigantic by this point. So I'm going to make an effort to try and tone down what I eat an replace snacks with things like popcorn, etc.

Other than that, this is my last week of class! Yay!! Finals are next week, and I have two weeks off before summer classes start. Which is Fantastic! granted for atleast one week i will be mostly existing in my house bonding with my laptop and Coercer. I haven't been able to play Everquest 2 almost since the begining of the semester.

Oh and something possibly wonderful, not sure. Wandered into the Sanrio store in Crabtree last night, now have an adorable pen and pencil, Kuromi mug (very nice carry around mug) and a new pill box (I needed one anyways, why not let it be adorable) did however spend more than I meant to, but the mug was $16 so

So, school is almost over. Which I haven't decided is a good thing or a bad thing. I have a little less than two weeks of school left and soooo much left to finish. Then I still have to study for finals. We have had so many projects and presentations that I haven't been able to study at all in a couple of weeks. I have yet to read any of the books we've studied in English (I still have a B, but thats not the point) and now I'm sick. I did talk to my advisor though and she's pretty sure that its the stress, and made sure to remind me that summer classes end up being B's or A's (because teachers have to dumb down the curriculum, only 3 weeks per class) so my gpa will be fine for the scholarships I'm wanting, and that graduating with a C average is about the same as graduating with a higher gpa, because gpa does not go on your diploma and there's a positive connotation attached to education Meredith's graduates. So basically she told me to calm down and just do my best, at this point the worst Ill get is a C and thats fine.

I feel like I don't make a very good human being.
You see...I'm always broken.
I can't remember anything.
I can't even make myself do schoolwork.
I have developed CT.
My asthma is being rather annoying.
And lately I just can't stay awake.

Master even stayed home from the club last night because we were going to play EverQuest 2 and while I was waiting for it to update (I haven't played in a very long time) I fell asleep again.

Part of the sleeping may be due to where I set up with my computer, that is, the couch. There is a desk for me at the apartment, but the available chair choices are either too short or makes my legs go to sleep (that weird black chair where your legs fold underneath you).

I would just like to function correctly for once

I've come across a situation at work that I'm attempting to find information about. We have an issue with forks.

As it stands now we have 156 seats at full capacity, as of Saturday we had 72 forks, from my understanding after collecting money from all servers 20 forks were added to this, leaving us at 92 which is still about half of what we should be operating at. When I mentioned this to my dad he said he believes that it is Illegal for any restaurant to require wait staff to pay for the replacement of any type of equipment (management claims the reason we're short on forks is because servers are throwing them away, however I know for a fact that we only had 80 forks 4-5 months ago, so at most 8 forks have been thrown away, which is going to happen on occasion). I've tried looking online and I haven't been able to find any information on laws for restaurants. I'm wondering if anyone knows who I should I call (going to try calling BBB after class and see if they know) because this is a ridiculous situation.

This is not the only issue, the server that was promoted to management has begun bringing her laptop to work and closing herself in the office. Managers at crazy fire are responsible for cashing out customers, since she is not at the register at any time one of the wait staff has to run up and check out customers while trying to make sure people are getting seated and tables are being taken care of. I have not seen this myself yet, but I am in there this Saturday night and my coworkers may get to see me rip into our manager and quit because this is absolutely ridiculous.

But, if anyone knows who i could ask about this legal question please let me know.

I'm starting to wonder if there's something wrong with me. I can go from wide awake and bouncy to crashing in about 20 minutes, it happened again last night. I did go out to the club last night, brought a girl from school with me (Elisha) she seemed to enjoy herself as everyone was very friendly and made her feel welcome. Hopefully she will be coming back on monday and I will actually be able to stay longer than I did last night, by about 1 I was ready to crawl into bed, which I did. Crashed so completly that when Brett got home from Steak and Shake with Michael, which is apparently decent on regular week nights (as opposed to the crazy chaos that happens after Rocky) it was almost instantaneous for me. It was one of those instances where I didn't realize i had been asleep.
